Why Garden Weddings?

A Garden Wedding can be styled in so many different ways – modern, chic, french provincial, rustic, vintage, country..the list goes on. If anything, I would take cues from your venue and let the garden itself be the hero. Different types of gardens you can consider are Botanic Gardens, Rose Gardens, Public Parks, Vineyards and Wineries, Lavendar Farms, and Farms and Private properties in more remote areas.

Things to Consider

Things to think about when it comes to gardens are what season you plan to have your wedding in (as this will affect the trees, sunlight and flowers, not to mention the weather). Always have a Plan B option in case it rains or turns out to be a cold day. Another thing to consider is practicality. Is there enough parking for your guests? How far away is the reception? Some gardens are beautiful because of their large size, but it can make it tricky for ladies to walk in heels and for the elderly. Steep steps and hills are another thing to consider, and also how you plan to walk down the isle if it is grass.

Having an outdoor wedding or at least ceremony can help to give you wedding a relaxed and fun feel. Guests can enjoy fresh air and sunshine, and take in the scenery. In warm weather it’s best to provide shade and refreshments for guests as well as plenty of seating.
