Country Wedding Inspiration
Lately I have been obsessed with country weddings, and thought why not share some country wedding inspiration with you! The thing I love about country weddings is that they are so versatile. You can go a full traditional and typical ‘country’ kind of look, but you can also go with a super modern and stylish wedding. Both settings work really well and here in Australia we have the perfect backdrop. In Adelaide in particular we have the Adelaide Hills, the Barossa and the McLaren Vale. I myself got married in the Barossa at Lyndoch Hill and I couldn’t rate them more highly! The food was amazing and home grown, the wine is fantastic, the gardens were beautiful, and my favourite part – the owners are absolutely amazing. I can’t think of a better way to support a local business. Knowing that the business is well run and has amazing people behind it makes a huge difference on your wedding day too, so keep that in mind.
Having an outdoor wedding or at least ceremony can help to give you wedding a relaxed and fun feel. Guests can enjoy fresh air and sunshine, and take in the scenery. For a hot day it’s best to provide shade and refreshments, but also have a back up plan if it is raining or cold. For traditional styling, I tend to think of lots of flowers, old crates, watering cans, ladders, tin buckets and lanterns. For modern styling I tend to think of anything chic, simple and stylish and letting the backdrop be the hero. Think simple table cloths, white roses or soft peonies, tea light candles and chic lanterns.
Here is some country wedding inspiration below. These images have been taken from the Sail and Swan Pinterest Board called Country Wedding so feel free to check that out too and enjoy!
