I have some beautiful Bronze Foil Watercolour Wedding Invitations to show you. They are available in the Sail and Swan shop here but you can read on to find out more about them.

Bronze Foil Watercolour Wedding Invitations

These stunning invitations feature a hand painted soft pastel watercolour artwork in the background, with simple but striking writing in foil over the top. The soft watercolours are subtle and elegant, and feature pretty washes in pinks, blues and purples. The simple layout lets the couple’s name feature as the main hero of the piece and the foiling is a real stand out!

What are Watercolours?

Not sure what watercolour painting is? I found a detailed article about it which you can read here if you’re interested. In very simple terms, watercolours are a kind of paint that you mix with water in order to use them. Using water not only helps to spread the paint across the paper, but it creates beautiful effects with the paint and helps to dilute the colours. Some paints are quite thick in terms of their texture, and are very opaque once put onto paper or canvas. Watercolours are quite different in that they have a thin texture (watery thin) and are fairly transparent.

Why Foil?

Foiling always makes a great first impression! It is shiny and eye-catching, and has a luxurious look and feel. In a practical sense, foiling is also a great  method to help the writing stand out from the background of the invitations.
