Boho Wedding Ideas
Before I share some of these Boho Wedding Ideas with you I thought it would be good to ask the question, “What is Bohemian style?” because so many different types of images come up when you search the term online. As far as weddings go, I’ve always believed that you can make your wedding day whatever you want it to be, so I wouldn’t worry too much as to whether you’re technically correct or not when you pick out any bohemian items. Never the less, here is what I would roughly use to define the idea.
The Bohemian style, and particularly Bohemian fashion, (also known as Boho) has largely been inspired by the hippie movement from the 60’s and 70’s. Although it does include some elements of the typical hippie style of dress, with a long and flowing look, it also combines Romani style, which originated with artists and nomads. These people often had scarce funds to spend on outfits and often wore older, more unfashionable clothes. To me, something that is Bohemian combines a relaxed flowing look, as well as nomadic feel.
For weddings this can be a great look as it is very natural and earthy. Often I think of simple and natural set ups that can easily be taken down and that have somewhat transient, temporary feel like tents, blankets, and use of nature.
